PUTTING AN END TO CHILD LABOR

STRAIGHT FROM THEIR WEBSITE:  The GoodWeave program  has freed more than 3,600 children from exploitative rug-making work. Programs funded by GoodWeave certified rug sales and donations help these children through rehabilitation, literacy, formal schooling and vocational training. Once children are freed from the looms, they are invited to either enroll in a GoodWeave funded boarding school or to live at home and attend school with ongoing support. Other GoodWeave initiatives include adult literacy, daycare centers, and worker health and training seminars.

Please visit their site for more uplifting, important information. Note to consumers, retailers, wholesalers and interior designers: please learn about purchasing slave free rugs.  Be part of the solution to making a better world. Care enough to not support products made with child slavery.
