My website is by Weebly and they are trying to figure out some huge
glitches I'm having with this website. They've never encountered these problems before. I started having trouble on September 20th. I hope it gets fixed soon because I haven't been able to do much of anything for over a week.
I love hearing about young entrepreneurs who are changing the world. Two mechanical-engineering students teamed up at Rensselaer Polytech Institute to come up with a biodegradable and renewable alternative to insulation. They succeeded. Under the company name Ecovative Design they created a compostable alternative to compete with the expanded polystyrene industry.
Polystyrene (aka Styrofoam) is petroleum based, non-sustainable light-weight material, made of mostly air, that has very good insulation properties and is used in all types of products, including packaging materials. The process to make polystyrene creates a high volume of pollution. Ecovative Design products don't. Read the article below that was published in Popular Science.

Child sex trafficking on Backpage.com, owned by Village Voice Media, is becoming a disturbing trend.
Earlier this week a Georgia man was arrested for pimping two 17-year-old girls around the Nashville area. Detectives responded to a suspicious ad on Backpage.com and drove to a motel. There, they found the teens and their 37-year-old pimp, as well as a laptop computer, likely used for the online advertising. Just four days prior to that, four people in Denver were arrested for forcing a teen girl into prostitution. They also advertised her sexual services, including semi-nude pictures, on Backpage. And last year, a South Dakota couple was arrested for selling underage girls for sex on .... wait for it ... Backpage.com yet again.
Please, ask Village Voice Media to stop child sex trafficking on Backpage.com.

Online classified ad websites like Craigslist have become the largest marketers of children trafficked into the commercial sex industry. The steady stream of exploited children for sale on Craigslist has had anti-trafficking groups demanding change for years. In the past 12 months, a trafficking survivor whose pimp forced her to advertise for her own statutory rape on Craigslist at age 11 wrote an open letter to Craig Newmark asking him to remove the “adult services” section where she was sold. Cash-strapped nonprofits rejected donations from the Craigslist Foundation as tainted money. And 10,000 Change.org readers signed a petition asking Craigslist to stop profiting from child sex slavery.
After years of increasing criticism for their facilitation of child sex trafficking, Craigslist recently blocked the “adult services” section link to ads in the U.S. However, their “adult services” section continues to operate outside the U.S.
Take one minute to help protect women and children outside the U.S. from sex trafficking via Craigslist.
I cannot explain why I chose this image of a weed to accompany this particular quote ...
All I know is I like weeds. I sometimes feel that weeds get an unfair reputation, so I enjoy giving them attention by focusing the lens on their under appreciated beauty.
I feel a sense of challenge from this image; mainly because of the thorns. Perhaps it was that element that inspired me to display this quote with this photo. Or maybe I'm just over thinking things ..

If you look closely, you’ll see two butterflies entwined - one looking to the left, one looking to the right - but together. I watched one chase the other and then they landed ‘together’. After a few minutes of togetherness, they flew off completely entwined as one and landed a second time to spend more time ‘together’. (Read about First Aid for butterflies!)
The photo is what they looked like when I came upon them. (I still don’t have a macro lens, so it’s not a very sharp image, but I wanted to share the experience.) It’s my first time witnessing this. I find nature so fascinating. I love exploring the earth. So much goes on around us - so much life is being lived -yet we’re often so busy or preoccupied that we don’t take notice of the many little things that make life special. For me, this was like my very own nature show. What a treat!

I visited the Tiger Temple in Thailand & later found out it is under investigation for tiger trafficking and animal abuse. Read full story. In 2015 it was raided. More than 100 tigers and protected bird species in Wat Pa Luang Ta Bua, popularly known as the Tiger Temple in Kanchanaburi province were impounded by authorities following complaints that the temple was alleged to engage in illegal wildlife trading.
